Challenge: Complex article structure meets high requirements

As one of Germany's largest tobacco wholesalers, tabacon supplies a wide range of customers with products such as tobacco products, e-cigarettes, sweets and more. The variety of articles — with different types of packaging, code types and strict regulatory requirements such as Track & Trace — placed high demands on logistics processes. At the same time, there was great desire to improve ergonomics and increase employee productivity.

The solution: NIMMSTA smart watch with ETISCAN integration

The decision was made for the NIMMSTA Smart Watch — an innovative wearable solution that was integrated into the existing infrastructure together with etiscan. The smart watch is used for picking and cleaning items. Employees receive all relevant information right on their wrist: storage locations, article quantities, special cases such as empty messages or serial numbers. Everything is available in real time and can be operated intuitively.

Thanks to seamless integration with etiscan, the entire process runs seamlessly and efficiently: from scanning to data transfer to Microsoft Business Central. The user interfaces were specially adapted to tabacon's requirements.
